Fozia Prigg THERAPY
About me
Therapeutic Counsellor
I’m Fozia, a qualified member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapy. As a therapeutic counsellor, I offer humanistic pluralistic talking therapy for all issues. I've worked with people with anxiety & depression, difficult childhood experiences, domestic violence, bereavement and big life changes amongst other traumas. My therapy offers a safe space with the approach that focusses on free will and the belief that with support, you have the potential to grow through self-discovery. I am here for you to facilitate a process of understanding. Having worked therapeutically within my private practice and alongside General Practitioners, I’m able to integrate coaching within my therapy work if you are exploring a results based experience.

How we can work together
Being heard in a safe space brings healing and growth.
I offer zoom sessions countrywide and I offer face to face sessions in Redruth and Falmouth, providing you with the confidential space for you to bring whatever you'd like to explore. I'll support you through a non-judgemental process to self-understanding, self-compassion and discovery. I work with trust and the deepening of our relationship that allows for you to feel heard. We can have a set number of sessions or open ended sessions, goal orientated or go with the flow - depending on how you like to work. I offer an initial free 30 minute no obligation telephone consultation, in order to explore what your expectations are, and to see if I am the therapist for you. Once we start to work together, each session is 50 minutes.

Testimonials
Client 1:
I feel so lucky to have had someone so kind and understanding to help me on this journey. I have never told people some of the things I have discussed with Fozia, but I felt safe, protected, secure. I trust again and that is something that I never thought would happen. I have grown as a person and I am learning to love me again. I can finally trust again and my circle is now bigger. I have more people and love than ever before. I am feeling stronger - although it is a journey, I feel confident continuing it all.
Client 2:
Before starting counselling, I wasn't sure it could really help, but Fozia was the perfect match. She empowered me to step out of the darkness and into light and clarity, in a way that has been profoundly evident both to me and to those around me. I will be forever grateful for the tools she has given me, the remarkable difference she has made to my life, and for her kindness, wisdom, warmth, and heartfelt support. Truly life-changing. I was initially drawn to Fozia because I wanted to work with a Therapeutic Counsellor who would understand my mixed heritage and the complexities that can come with it. As a therapist of colour, Fozia’s culturally sensitive work and genuine understanding helped me feel truly seen, heard, and safe. This allowed me to process my life experiences with a depth of empathy that brought healing and joy to parts of myself I didn’t even know existed. Fozia also fully understood my neurodivergence (ADHD), offering a deeply neuroaffirming approach and weaving her expertise into our sessions in ways that will stay with me for life. I felt held and supported to explore the deepest parts of myself, something that had previously felt almost impossible to do alone. Before working with Fozia, I wondered whether counselling could truly help me, but she was the perfect match. She has empowered me to move from darkness into greater clarity, self-understanding, and light, something that has been profoundly felt both internally and by those around me. I will always be grateful for the tools she has given me, the life-changing impact she has had, and for her kindness, wisdom, warmth, and heartfelt support. Truly life-changing.
Client 3:
Fozia has picked me up and helped to rebuild me. She is a great communicator and has explained what is happening to me and why, she has made me realise that what I was experiencing was the natural process of my brain dealing with past and present traumas. Fozia is calm, patient, empathetic but most of all gentle and kind, allowing for all grief and elements of trauma to run its course but then to teach you different techniques to manage this. Words do not always express gratitude but I am truly grateful and thankful that I found Fozia for support.
Client 4:
I came to therapy because I could see myself repeating some of the same patterns I grew up with, and I didn’t want to pass them on to my own children. Working with Fozia gave me the space to understand my past and the tools to build healthier relationships on my own terms. I now feel calmer, more compassionate, and free from resentment. It’s been a truly transformative experience, and I’m deeply grateful for the support and guidance.
