I’m Fozia, a qualified and accredited member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapy. As a therapeutic counsellor, I offer humanistic pluralistic talking therapy for all issues. I’ve worked with people with anxiety & depression, difficult childhood experiences, domestic violence and addiction amongst other traumas. My therapy offers a safe space with the approach that focusses on free will and the belief that with support, you have the potential to grow through self-discovery. I am here for you to facilitate a process of understanding. Having worked therapeutically within charity agencies and alongside General Practitioners, I’m able to integrate coaching within my therapy work if you are exploring a results based experience.
I am currently offering sessions in Redruth, Camborne and Falmouth, providing you with the confidential space for you to bring whatever you'd like to explore. I'll support you through a non-judgemental process to self-understanding, self-compassion and discovery. I work with trust and the deepening of our relationship that allows for you to feel heard. We can have a set number of sessions or open ended sessions, goal orientated or go with the flow - depending on how you like to work. I offer an initial free 30 minute no obligation telephone consultation, in order to explore what your expectations are, and to see if I am the therapist for you. Once we start to work together, each session is 60 minutes.
Therapy sessions tailored to your lifestyle
Client 1:
I feel so lucky to have had someone so kind and understanding to help me on this journey. I have never told people some of the things I have discussed with Fozia, but I felt safe, protected, secure. I trust again and that is something that I never thought would happen. I have grown as a person and I am learning to love me again. I can finally trust again and my circle is now bigger. I have more people and love than ever before. I am feeling stronger - although it is a journey, I feel confident continuing it all.
Client 2:
Fozia was absolutely great. I felt heard for the first time in my life and truly understood. She really listened to me. She gave me the understanding of what domestic abuse is and how it had impacted over time.
Client 3:
Fozia has been an amazing person to work with. I am now able to be more open and trusting. I have the confidence to be who I am - less anxious and I have the ‘boost’ to do things and to live life. I have also the understanding now, that my neurodiversity is not ‘wrong’.
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy and also The Black, African and Asian Therapy Network. Accreditation is a quality standard for experienced practitioners, designed to recognise the capacity for independent, ethical and competent practice. My practise is bound by the ethical framework to ensure I am a safe practitioner.
